PRESENTERS: Timothy D. SESSION OVERVIEW: Occupational Health and Safety Programs (OHSP) have historically presented a challenge for animal care and use programs across the spectrum of organizations. Successful OHSP do not just happen. They require strategic training and coordination from several stakeholders. This interplay of industry professionals can produce its own set of obstacles and even frustrations. However, we surmise that historical OHSP were not designed to serve the 2023 workforce. Failure to recognize this discrepancy could present a new set of challenges. It behooves traditional OHSP to be reassessed amongst organizations that strive to remain competitive and culturally relevant. Stakeholders in OHSP must reexamine their programs, ensuring a holistic structure that best serves their organization. The session will be moderated by Cindy A. Buckmaster, PhD, CMAR, RLATG. AALAS CEUs: This webinar is eligible for 1.00 Technician CEU credit or 1.00 CMAR CEU credit. Confirmation of attendance will be emailed to all attendees upon the conclusion of the webinar.
