Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) is an international program focused on increasing awareness of the role of animals in biomedical research and medical advancements for both humans and animals. Celebrations vary by institution, are completely customizable, and may include information and interactive booths, lectures, tours of animal facilities, and more. BRAD brings together students, faculty, staff, and the public to stimulate discussions on the role of animals in medical progress and to highlight the career opportunities in research and laboratory animal medicine.
