The AALAS Leadership Summit of the BOT and committee chairs is held each summer at the National AALAS office in Memphis, Tennessee. Current and incoming standing committee and advisory council chairs work with the BOT and staff liaisons to evaluate the strategic plan and develop committee tasks for the following year that fulfill the board approved goals and objectives. Together, the goals, objectives, and tasks comprise the strategic plan, referred to as the GOaTs. Goals are reviewed during the BOT Winter Session. Objectives are refreshed during the BOT Summer Session. Tasks are revised during the Leadership Summit. Attendance is by invitation only.
